This is my new, original drawing of the Nihrain Horse, as it might have appeared (but for deadline constraints) on page 92 of the Melnibonean chapter of the original Deities and Demigods for AD&D (TSR Hobbies, 1980 edition).

"A horse of this type appears to be a great black stallion. Members of this magical race of horses will only be lent to mortals who are in the direct service of the primary forces of neutrality."
