Is Letratone like Zip-a-tone? I played around with THAT back in the day. I think it added time to many a project. I also found ways to duplicate the effect in Photoshop. Fun stuff. Like the revisiting of this stuff- makes me long for the good ole days!

That's true - I just applied gradients in Photoshop. The effect turned out well, but unfortunately it means the original artwork hasn't got the gradients on it at all.
